pokemon platinum
Had some trouble understanding dlx assembly coding today but after slowly reading through and the replies from dr lye , I think I am beginning to understand it.I will try to complete exercise 1 tomorrow , maybe start on assignment 1.Casper introduced me to pokemon platinum and I suddenly got hooked onto it.Different storyline with new pokemons , really interesting.Too much I can do a network battle with casper since we are using nds emulator.Posted by Ern at 2:04 AM

New wallet and bag
I went to bugis to do some shopping with kl tan.He bought a pair of $80+ shoes and they gave him this "free" pearl.We were curious and went to claim it.Ended up the pearl is free but you need to pay $40+ to attach the ear ring to it so you can hang it on the ear.I got myself a new zinc bag , and wallet :) Brought down the price from $38 to $30 and the wallet from $15.80 to $14.50.I also got my sister her mouse in sim lim square and send my mp4 player for repairs.

2nd day of computer systems
Learnt more on assembly language and off we were to the lab.I was still kinda confused with it , I think I need more practice.kl tan did a slightly different kind of assembly language so I guess I can't ask him already.It gets damn irritating when people keep suaning you don't have a job while doing a part time degree.I mean its my own free will and I had been trying to search for a suitable 1.I rather concentrate on my studies and not screw up and its a good thing I am trying to pick up php now.I guess I will be taking up 2 modules next sem to faster complete this degree since I have the time and luxury to do so.

Computer Systems class start
Just came back from class not long.I find computer systems more towards the system side , true to its name.There are some new stuff and revision of binary , hexa and octa .The fetch and execution cycle kinda reminds of the stuff we learnt in csc about calc machine.Will try to get familiarized with binary and hexa because they will be used frequently according to my lecturer.Speaking about my lecturer , he looks around his late 20s , maybe early 30s.We thought Dr Lye is an old man , really shocked to see him as our lecturer.He seem kinda friendly and cracked some cold jokes.The best part is that he is willing to teach and share.
Darrell received his NIE offer letter a few weeks back.He is at a dilemma whether to accept or not.The bad thing about it is that they are offering him a diploma and not degree.The chance of getting transfered from their diploma to degree is not high but possible.Since the diploma takes 2 yrs already , what if he doesn't make it ? He also seems to be not doing well in school.I think its his call , but I still find it risky to sign a bond with nie like that.Especially since his degree will not be confirmed.
I realised that intelligence plays a huge part in studies , hardwork can only get you this far.Oh well .. be content with my abilities and what I have :)

Start of PHP
Just managed to setup apache with php , mySQL and quite a few more stuff.Actually I was thinking of downloading them 1 by 1 , thank god there was a package called xampp available.I experimented abit with php using the reference book I got from the library and realised that most of the concepts are similar to java.Will continue practicing tomorrow.Its also wednesday already and elena still haven't informed us to collect our learning materials for computer systems.Wonder whats wrong , its not like here to email back so late.

DSA result out !!!

informatics
I just went over to informatics to enquire about their mcse 2003 training course.They only offer it on saturdays and just nice ,it clashes with my classes.The ban mian at informatics taste terrible.I ate the noodles and left out the meat and veg , yucks.The labs over at informatics are rather nice though.Citibank sent me a card stating that I haven't sent in my documents.Looks like I got to send them in again.I guess the guy at the citibank branch screwed up my application.

Applied for 2 jobs
Applied for 2 jobs today.The first job is a data entry job with NUS with a 3 month contract , just nice for me so I can start taking 2 modules after computer systems is over.The 2nd job is a part time web publisher job from 2pm - 6pm daily near kovan mrt.Like that I will have enough time to study :) Waiting for their reply.Posted by Ern at 11:11 PM

citibank clear
I just registered for a citibank clear card since I think some of the offer may come in handy.I registered online and they provided me with and ID.However , I need to send in a photocopy of my IC and student card.I went over to the branch in Jurong East instead and the guy say the online method is troublesome.He asked me to filled in the form again.When he saw my student card , he told me my application may be rejected since its a non local uni -_-.Whats up with local and non local as long as I am a tertiary student ?Posted by Ern at 2:13 PM

Qingming

My driving license is here !!!
My driving license is here after 2 weeks 2 days :).I did bubble enrolment for my next module today , lots of bugs in it.Hope they fix it soon.School starts 24th April.I sent my resume to some job agencies but I don't have any replies yet , guess I have to keep sending.

Last day of revision for DSA
I went over to ntu library to study with kl jian hui and their friends today.I was supposed to meet jian hui at 10am , but I was kinda tired so I napped abit more and told him I will be late.Jian hui told me to take a bus at clementi 154 and I thought it is a direct bus , ended up I took a bus to clementi from Jurong , then take a bus from clementi to boon lay and another bus 179 to ntu , lol.NTU is sooo big I almost got lost in it.It has quite a number of canteens and in that area alone there were 2 different libraries.Really envy their student life :)Anyway , I am glad I went over today.Jian hui and kl helped explained alot of stuff to me.I think I should be able to cope tomorrow , hopefully.Need to read up some final stuff like nary recursion and skiplist before I call it a day.

I can't do the past year paper :(
I found that I have some problems doing the past year paper although I had read up already , oh dear.Gonna head over to the library later to complete it.Too much distraction at home.I am surprised darrell hasn't been online since yesterday , I guessed he kicked off his internet addiction , so should I.I was introduced to this website yesterday , omegle . It connects random strangers with each other and you can chat with each other without knowing the identity.I guess it isn't meant for serious chat because whenever it gets serious and comfortable , you are about to ask for their contacts when suddenly the connection disconnects by itself.There are a bunch of people doing weird and funny stuff inside especially the people from edmw , lol.
