Revision part 2
Halfway through my revision.I think I am going to attempt the past year paper tomorrow after I read up everything.My monitor seems to be dying , this is what it looks like and I need to tap it to get it back in shape.Darrell and I were talking about the internet addiction.I guess the only difference between us is that I still can multi task , study while surfing the net but I would prefer just studying 100% but I can't seem to do it.Just like when I head to the library yesterday , I got tired after flipping a few pages.Its the mentality and not the environment !!!

Intensive revision for DSA
I printed a bunch of notes last nite.Mostly on proving and avl tree rotation.Printed out all my previous practicals too so I don't need to keep referring to the soft copy , the 2 missing chapters , emulation and skiplist.Gonna start intensive revision today and hopefully I can do ok for saturday's paper.Posted by Ern at 11:06 AM

Earth Hour
There is this earth hour thing that is going on.Most places that are participating are suppose to off part of their lights during from 8:30pm to 9:30pm.Went back to school for revision today.Everybody reached late , but I am sure glad I went back because I revised lots of stuff with chiang lin and dennis.Alot of stuff I wouldn't understand if I studied alone.1 more week to revise before my paper.

Drove my dad's car for the first time
I just drove my dad's car this morning for breakfast at clementi.I think I am roughly getting the hang of it.There are quite a few pointers to take note like it has a wider turning radius due to its larger size , I need to accelerate a little while reversing if not sometimes it will stall.I find the gear hard to engaged or maybe I just need to get used to it.I also need to keep more to the center which is more to the right as I am always driving near the edge .Practical 8 cleared.Problem was that I didn't store the value I was supposed to return before returning it.Now I can concentrate on revision and past year paper.

Pass TP on my first attempt !!!
I managed to clear my TP , I am now a qualified class 3 driver , lol.The day started as per normal until I reached the school circuit.Since it was my first time there , I was naturally feeling abit disorientated and nervous.I spent around 1 hour there trying out the different stations to get a feel.I realised I need to turn slightly earlier for my reverse parking unlike for the private circuit.Other than that , the circuit obstacles are still the same.The road situation there is also quite an uphill task because we have to wait for our turn.I was screwing up badly during warm up and even mount kerb.I saw this girl taking her test mount the kerb and her tester told her to get out of the car and look at the kerb , lol.Finished practicing at 3:30pm and headed up to the waiting room.I realised everyone in there were just as nervous as me and I made some small talk with a guy next to me.Helped to calm both of us down by doing that.
I was among the last few to be called and thank god , I didn't got route 6 or 8.I got something in between , route 7.I greeted my tester but he didn't acknowledge me or was I too soft ? lol.He led me down to my vehicle and attached the additional L plate for me.Straight away when he sat in the vehicle he told me to turn left .Lots of incoming cars in the circuit so I need to wait for them to clear to move off.Lucky this instructor in 1 of the L plate bbdc cars gave way to me and signal me to move off.
Everything was ok in the circuit.There was once he wanted me to turn into a particular course number but in order to do that , I need to change over to the right lane and another guy was next to me.He told me off and I explained to him there was another car next to me.When I was at the parallel parking station , he suddenly hit the brakes and I thought what was wrong.Ended up he told me the pole was not aligned properly and he went down to aligned it for me.I forgot to signal at the slope in the circuit , that was my first mistake.Another was he asked me to turn into 18 and I hesitated awhile and he got impatient.I just told him it was my first time in this circuit and he somehow confirmed me that was the correct path :)
After that , everything went smoothly and he didn't said a single word.When I returned back to bbdc , he told me to park by the side and he just left the car and headed up.I was quite shocked and slowly took my time.My instructor was the one that told me to follow the tester up.The debrief was "you know how to check blind spot properly right ? check before you turn , not anytime before that" then he told me to head to the first level to watch the video , hehehe.I was however , shocked by getting 18 points , I thought everything was quite smooth.Abrupt lane change , not enough clearance for side object and people , failing to signal in circuit , these are the stuff that got me my points :(
The video segment was informative and it showed some case studies of what drink driving can do to you , accidents videos , and admin matters information.I then headed up to register my license but they rejected my photo claiming it was too old.Ended up I have to take my photo downstairs at the booth.1 month time for my official license , stucked with a temp license for now :) I am so glad I am not caught in the loop of retaking and failing.

I want to driveee
I am really excited to take my driving test on monday , hopefully everything goes well.I have another last lesson lined up tomorrow and this time I will be driving my instructor's boss car.The car I will be using for my test.The only thing now will be to get used to the BBDC circuit which I have never been to before.Practical 7 is done and I should start doing my revision soon.Then I can attempt the revision questions Mr Lim sent us.Gonna clear 1 thing at a time.If I fail my driving test , so be it.Then I will aim to pass my DSA paper next.If I pass , I am gonna take it as a bonus.It looks dark and is about to rain now , I hope it doesn't rain during my driving test :(

Update
Updating my blog after a long time.The reason is sometimes when you continuously keep updating but the friends around you are not updating , it gets boring.So if you guys want me to update frequently , please do so too :DUpdates on my life
1)Taking my Driving practical test next monday.Everything should be ok , just hope that no stupid situation come out or there is a sudden change in weather.Everything should go smoothly , I hope.Everything in driving seems to be fine after I overcame my greatest obstacle , parking.Casper tan is taking his BTT soon , gonna catch up to me already.
2)I find my practical assignments getting harder and harder.I guess I need to spend more time practicing and understand certain concepts.Stuff like linkedlist , stacks , queues and especially proofing by induction.I never touched them before.To think that I thought recursion was troublesome enough.
These are the 2 main events happening in my life.Lets hope I clear both of them before I decide on getting a full time job.
