Career fair 2006
I went to the career fair 2006 over at suntec with sherry and ceng.Don't know why my hands are sweaty today , lol.Kept sweating while holding her hands. The career fair was quite informative.Asked quite a number of school representatives questions.
Tmc monash - Asked them about their entry requirement which is a B average. They said as long as my As are more than my Ds , I should be fine. The certificate awarded is also the same as the one awarded on campus and their units are cheaper over here.Definitely 1 of my top choices.SIM - Now SIM is seperated into 2 different segments.1 is sim university which gives out their own degree while the other is sim pte ltd where they still give out external degrees of other university. The good thing about SIM is that it is recognised to a certain extent but the bad thing is that any grades in the diploma enables to u enrol into it already.
NTU - I asked them about my registration matters and they said only those with discrepencies and problems with their results are required to send over as they could link directly to our polytechnics to get our results.I thought they require each student to send by batch.
MDIS - This man talked to me about the IT courses. There were some good points he brought out like telling my friend not to change path directly from a diploma in IT towards a degree in management but to take a mixture course like business computing as he will definitely be on the losing end due to the advance standing matters. He kept recommending me edith cowan university which is a third tier university to me.The only good point he can bring out is that the course provide us with an MCSE certificate at the end of it and we will take it as part of the modules.
There was this quiz on washing machine logos and those who answered the questions correctly gets a free soft toy.Sherry kept asking me to answer and get the soft toy for her but it was too hard man , I don't even wash my own clothes , lol.
Ate macdonalds for lunch.Luckily sherry has this coupon that allows us to have a free item for every extra value meal purchase.I took mc spicy with an extra fillet burger while ceng took fillet meal with extra nuggets for us.Sherry ask me to collect points for her but I forgot , lol.Good thing is that she still have enough points for her mc wings. She fed me abit which I was abit not used to but somehow got used to it , lol.Sherry also had a job offer already working in NTUC at taman jurong.Feel happy for her.Got her 3 ear rings for 5 bucks today , lol.Glad that she find them beautiful , maybe because I helped her chose and I bought it for her :P .
