Raffles Place
I was up and ready to go for a 2nd round .I expected city hall to be quite easy because it is 1 of the most crowded places but i was wrong.I think even the location the chose wasn't very good.I arrived a few minutes late as i went to the wrong side.I thought the area to give out was outside raffles shopping centre but it was actually to the right side , the area we first went to their office the other time during the briefing.
When i arrived , i noticed honey and chin pei already in their uniforms giving out.I saw linda taking a photo of them and i quickly rush in to put up a V sign , hehehe. I started work and i was in charge of the side where people are going down the escalator.Honey and chin pei were in charge of those coming up.Their side had more people compared to mine. There were not much people since it was so early so i passed them samples to the newspaper stand uncle and some people coming to buy newspaper from him.As most people were in a rush for work , alot of them were not interested. 1 thing i noticed was that caucasians were not really interested in green tea.I asked linda about it and she agreed.If it was coffee , they will surely take :P.We finished about 1 hr earlier than expected time and the cleaner auntie was telling linda to put the box near the rubbish bin.She had been nagging since we started giving out in the morning.
City hall
After that , we went to burger king for our breakfast.I got myself a student meal.I had to go toilet halfway and the toilet was being cleaned.I don't understand , why is it always the male toilet that is being cleaned ? i went all the way up to the next toilet.After eating , we headed over to the central area of city hall near caltex and waited for linda.
We helped them unload the stuff and distribute.The people at city hall are more outgoing and most of them take the samples.There were many old man and women asking for more and i just give them an extra 1. 1 of the agency ppl saw me giving and told me to only give 1 to old ppl because our target audience are not them.So the next elderly person to ask me for a 2nd 1 was rejected :(.We were told not to step into the building itself and had to stand within the central area.Even security was standing there.The client came awhile later to monitor us .I encountered 2 case of people taking from my basket , so rude.The first was a lady that just grab 2 from my basket for herself and 2 more for her friend.Another was a man that stopped and asked me , "Very diffcult to give out is it ? " I just smiled.Then he take 2 from my basket and said " I help you to take" and just walked away. There was this friend of linda , a middle age man that came and i thought he was the boss of the agency or something.He joked that they now employ japanese guys to do promoting of lipton ? -_-".Later after talking to him did i found out that he was an unemployed worker and still asked linda to help him find job. He also commented that the company should offer me more japanese job like if sakae need to give out flyers or something , lol.Do i really look like a japanese when i can't even speak decent japanese language ? lol.
After that ,we walked around raffles place.

They were preparing this stage , i wonder what event is coming soon ?
Some tent set up with alot of cute girls in their cute uniform and boots asking people to register for their master cards.I actually wanted to take picture with 1 of those girls but i was shy , hehehehe.Somemore never bought my cam along , wasted.
The nice views of the singapore river.Since we were sitting there , i took the chance to take pictures of it.
We decided to go Macdonalds after that.I find the Mac at raffles so unique and the environment is so nice.
2nd floor
Woo , so shiok.We can even choose to sit outside and enjoy the scenary.Here is my ice cream ~
We spend quite a long time there discussing various stuff while eating our ice creams.When we were leaving and in the underpass , there was this irritating guy that was pestering us to buy his donation tickets.This is my account of the incident.
I encountered this situation today.This guy approached me and my friends persuading us to buy his tickets.The ticket was meant to help ex-offenders get back to society.It cost 10 bucks each .We weren't really keen and didn't had enough cash with us.I was with 2 of my friends and we all told him we don't have 10 bucks.He keep insisting for us to like split up our money 3 bucks each to get his 1 tickets even though we told him we were students and he should be asking the working adults instead.I replied for my group that we were not keen and he goes on saying we must have the heart to do charity and all those stuff , help our fellow singaporean blah blah blah.Then he goes on saying to my friends about me "your friend got money but don't wanna donate" He made me sound like some kinda miser in front of my friends.Then he change tactic , he said its his first day at work , asked us to support him .We keep saying no then he finally begged us to buy the ticket and did the begging hand sign *cupping both hands together*.Finally he decided not to ask us to buy anymore and wish us success in whatever things we do in life next time in a sarcastic manner leaving us feeling bad at ourselves for not donating .
Lucky we didn't bought from him because when i went home , i heard from a guy named spawn in that forum that he participated in this as a part time job before.A $5 ticket , $1 goes to charity only, $1 goes to the boss , $1 goes to the company etc ...So if you guys are approached by such people next time , think twice.Would you rather donate $5 directly to charity or pay through this guy and charity only gets a dollar ? :P
Took the mrt home with chin pei.At last , someone to accompany me home.
